D-Link DXS-1210-12SC to zarządzalny przełącznik Smart z portami 10-gigabitowymi, wyposażony w 10x portów 10GBase-T i 2x porty Combo 10GBASE-T/SFP+, a także rozbudowane funkcje warstwy Layer 2 oraz interfejsy zarządzania ruchem warstwy Layer 3.

Switch zaprojektowano z myślą o farmach serwerów lub użyciu w warstwie agregacyjnej, z przeznaczeniem dla małych i średnich firm. Charakteryzuje się rozbudowaną funkcjonalnością oraz niskimi kosztami użytkowania, przydatnymi w środowiskach wymagających połączeń 10 Gb Ethernet. Porty miedziane umożliwiają zwiększenie przepustowości sieci z użyciem standardowych kabli kat. 6a bez konieczności przebudowy istniejącej infrastruktury, natomiast porty światłowodowe SFP+ dodatkowo zwiększają możliwości połączeń.

DXS-1210-12SC wspiera intuicyjne narzędzia klienckie D-Link Network Assistant Utility oraz interfejs webowy. Umożliwiają one użytkownikom wykrycie wszystkich przełączników Smart D-Linka w tej samej warstwie sieci, co pozwala na wprowadzenie podstawowych ustawień we wszystkich przełącznikach oraz ich zaawansowaną konfigurację.

Urządzenie obsługuje Auto Surveillance VLAN (ASV) oraz Auto Voice VLAN, dedykowane VoIP oraz instalacji monitoringu wizyjnego. Auto Surveillance VLAN to technologia priorytetyzująca przesyłanie danych monitoringu wideo. Natomiast Auto Voice VLAN rozszerza usługę VoIP przez automatyczny routing danych z dźwiękiem z telefonów IP do dedykowanej sieci VLAN. Switch został wyposażony także w zaawansowane funkcje bezpieczeństwa: Broadcast/Multicast/Unicast Storm Control, D-Link Safeguard Engine, Static MAC oraz IGMP Snooping, dzięki czemu sieć jest chroniona przed złośliwymi atakami.
